ĐỒNG NAI — Three newly built homes were handed over to disadvantaged families in the southern city of Đồng Nai on Thursday through the “Hyosung Houses of Hope” charity project, highlighting Việt Nam–Republic of Korea ties and local social welfare efforts.

The handover ceremony, organised by Hyosung Đồng Nai Co., Ltd. in co-ordination with the Đồng Nai Union of Friendship Organisations and local authorities, was held in Đại Phước Commune to support low-income residents.

Speaking at the event, Bae In Han, General Director of Hyosung Đồng Nai Co., Ltd., stated that since entering Việt Nam in 2007, the company has consistently strived to grow alongside the country and support local communities, particularly in Đồng Nai City – home to the group's largest manufacturing base in Việt Nam.

According to General Director Bae, the initiative aims to provide underprivileged families with sturdy homes where members can live securely and children can nurture their dreams for the future.

"We hope that these donated houses will serve as safe, warm homes and a foundation to help families stabilise their lives and look towards a better future," he said.

In 2026, the company supported the construction of five "Hyosung Houses of Hope", with three completed and handed over during this phase.

It contributed VNĐ100 million (US$4,000) towards the construction cost of each house.

Representatives of Hyosung Đồng Nai Co., Ltd. and local authorities present gift packages to low-income households in Đồng Nai City’s Đại Phước Commune on August 13.

In addition, it provided essential household items valued at VNĐ10 million ($400) per family to assist them in settling into their new accommodation.

As part of the programme, the company leaders and local representatives also presented 45 gift sets to low-income households in Đại Phước Commune to offer timely support and encouragement.

Through these welfare activities, the company reaffirms its commitment to sustainable development tied to corporate social responsibility, standing alongside the local community while contributing to the strong partnership between the two countries. — VNS
