HÀ NỘI — Police in the central coastal city of Nha Trang are investigating a Kazakh national accused of damaging property and causing a public disturbance at a local hotel.

According to Nha Trang Ward Police in Khánh Hòa Province, the incident occurred on July 30, when the provincial Police Department's emergency response unit (113) received reports that a foreign guest was smashing furniture and other items inside a hotel room.

Emergency officers were dispatched to the scene, where they worked alongside local police to bring the situation under control, restore order and interview those involved.

Preliminary investigations found that the individual, identified only as A., had checked into Room 402 with three female companions. All four are Kazakh nationals.

Police said an argument broke out between A. and one of the women during their stay. The dispute allegedly escalated, with A. damaging furniture and other belongings inside the room before threatening to assault the woman.

Following the initial response, emergency officers handed the suspect and the case over to Nha Trang Ward Police for further investigation and handling in accordance with Vietnamese law.

Authorities have not released the full identity of the individual or announced any charges as investigations continue. — VNS
