BẮC NINH — Following the merger into the new Bắc Ninh Province, the restructuring of the culture, sports and tourism sector has been carried out in a streamlined manner, with clearly defined functions and responsibilities to avoid overlapping and ensure smooth leadership and administration.

Work assignments have been organised in a scientific and rational way, with emphasis placed on promoting the roles, sense of responsibility and proactiveness of each official, civil servant and public employee.

The Bắc Ninh Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has directed a comprehensive review of all administrative procedures under its management. It has continued to shorten processing times for many procedures compared with general regulations, while also advising the provincial People’s Committee to promptly issue and update new administrative procedures promulgated by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

All procedures are publicly posted at the provincial Public Administration Service Centre, on the Bắc Ninh administrative procedure information system, on the Department’s official website, and at the offices of relevant units.

From July 1 to December 5, 2025, the department received 662 applications covering 166 administrative procedures, all of which were processed online through the provincial system.

Vietnamese athlete Lê Đức Phát claimed a convincing victory over Jewel Angelo Albo of the Philippines in the men’s singles final of the Felet Vietnam International Series 2025 badminton tournament, held at the Bắc Ninh Provincial Sports Arena.

Of these, 537 applications were resolved, including 525 ahead of schedule and 12 on time. The most frequently handled procedure was notification of advertising products on billboards and banners, accounting for 184 applications.

Timely and efficient processing has clearly demonstrated significant improvements in service attitudes and the overall quality of administrative reform in Bắc Ninh Province.

Data integration in the culture, sports and tourism sector has significantly shortened processing times and minimised the need for citizens to resubmit personal information or citizen ID details.

This marks an important step forward in administrative reform and digital transformation, delivering direct benefits to residents through faster, simpler and more convenient procedures.

In addition, the department has prioritised training and capacity building for its officials, civil servants, public employees and workers, focusing on digitalisation, electronic archiving, operation of the administrative procedure processing system and strengthening a people-centred service mindset in the context of digital transformation. — VNS
