ĐIỆN BIÊN — In early October, the Mường Thanh fields in the northern province of Điện Biên come alive with the bustle of harvest.
Across the paddies, farmers work in unison, some cutting, others bundling or carrying sheaves of rice. Amid the golden stretch of ripened crops, the sight of heavy bundles and carts laden with grain creates a vivid picture of rural labour.
