QUẢNG NINH — State workers in Quảng Ninh northern province will work normally this Saturday (February 17), despite it being a weekend, to resolve all affairs of agencies and localities, especially administrative procedures after the Tết holiday.

This follows a decision of Quảng Ninh Provincial Party Committee Secretary Nguyễn Xuân Ký. He made the statement yesterday at a meeting after the holiday.

Speaking at the meeting, Ký requested that all districts, agencies and units urgently return to normal activities of the political system, from the provincial level to the grassroots level.

People and businesses must ensure that work remains active and adhere strictly to schedules from the first working day of the lunar new year, avoiding any stagnation that could disrupt production activities

Units and localities must strengthen discipline, innovate working styles and habits; resolutely prevent lax or irresponsible inspection while facing difficulties, and meet legitimate demands of people and businesses.

​Determined to achieve the highest socio-economic development targets and goals of this year associated with the theme "Improving economic growth quality, developing culture and the people of Quảng Ninh Province”, Ký asked each public employees to concentrate highly, take advantage of every day, every hour, including days off, to support people and businesses, and maximally remove difficulties and obstacles.

The work targets to attract new foreign direct investment (FDI) capital in industrial zones.

Enterprises promote capital disbursement of registered projects, especially licensed FDI projects; and create good conditions to increase productivity and product output.

Agencies and units drastically implement solutions to improve the quality and efficiency of public investment capital disbursement right in the first quarter this year.

They should also urgently complete projects and works that are behind schedule. The work should focus on the riverside road project connecting Hạ Long-Hải Phòng Highway to Đông Triều Town, the provincial road 342 projects, and investment projects in the fields of health and education, rural transport, worker housing and social housing. — VNS
