HÀ NỘI — Health experts and scientists discussed the latest trends and innovations in healthcare and explored opportunities to build collaborative and innovative healthcare ecosystem in Việt Nam at the Healthcare Innovation Forum in Hà Nội on Monday.
With the aim of creating an annual forum for multilateral discussions on solutions to current and future healthcare challenges, the forum focuses discussion on topics such as healthcare trends, innovation, and research and development in healthcare in Việt Nam and in the world.
The forum also updated interested parties and the public with the trends of the global health industry, advanced Research & Development activities and breakthrough products and projects, with a view to bring the best solutions for patients and at the same time seize the opportunities for development cooperation for the Vietnam healthcare industry.
“The COVID-19 pandemic presented immense challenges to healthcare systems, inflicted loss of lives but also showcases the role and importance of innovation to overcome these obstacles while developing a more resilient healthcare system for the future," said Chairman of Pharma Group Emin Turan.
"The forum will be a platform for thought leaders discussing trends, cutting-edge research and applications of technologies in healthcare that have been made possible via innovation.”

At the forum, experts presented global trends and perspectives in healthcare innovation. Not only diagnostics, and research and development, but innovation in healthcare delivery, supply chain, and healthcare facility management is also critical.
Experts also shared that innovation is the new driving force for development in Việt Nam, transforming healthcare through the power of technology and expertise as well as improving healthcare through AI solutions.
They said that innovation not only is a new driving force for development but is also an opportunity for cooperation for a healthier Việt Nam in the future. Enhancing research and development capacity, building a rich health ecosystem, strengthening healthcare capacity and human resources as well as partnerships, and being solution-oriented will help Việt Nam build a dynamic, innovative, resilient healthcare industry to address future health challenges.
The forum also witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding among Pharma Group, Hải Phòng University of Medicine and Pharmacy, and Hanoi University of Pharmacy to enhance efficiency and facilitate the review process of Marketing Authorisation at the two universities towards a shared objective of improving the registration process in Việt Nam.
During the last few years, there have been many positive changes in the healthcare industry, with an emphasis on innovation. People’s health has improved thanks to developments in healthcare, expanding options, new medications, technologies, and other factors. In Việt Nam, developing an innovation-focused healthcare sector is critical to build on past achievements and upgrade Việt Nam’s health system to better address tomorrow’s challenges. — VNS
