ĐÀ NẴNG — Vietjet and the People’s Committee of Đà Nẵng City have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for five-year strategic cooperation to support the development and contribute to the socio-economic development of Việt Nam and Đà Nẵng.
The MoU was inked last week at the Đà Nẵng Investment Forum 2022 under the presence of Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính.
From now until 2027, Vietjet will coordinate to promote the image of Đà Nẵng to domestic and international tourists and promote trade, tourism, and investment in the city.
Vietjet will also paint the tourism brand of Đà Nẵng on the aircraft to bring the image of the city to all countries and destinations the airline has flown to while teaming up with Đà Nẵng in stimulus events and investment conferences.
On the sideline of the forum, Vietjet also announced the opening of seven new international routes from Đà Nẵng to Singapore, South Korea and India, the first step in its commitment to cooperate with the city.
The routes connecting Đà Nẵng to Busan and the five largest cities in India - New Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, and Bangalore - together with Singapore will operate from July with four to seven return flights per week, Vietjet said in a statement.
"Đà Nẵng is one of the most attractive destinations for international tourists in Việt Nam. Vietjet has to date transported nearly 22 million passengers on eight domestic and five international routes flying from and to the city," Vietjet Vice President Nguyễn Thanh Sơn said.
"Vietjet believes that the new routes announced today will continue to contribute to opening more opportunities, promoting economic, trade and business investment between Đà Nẵng and other cities, countries in the region." — VNS
