A national flag-raising ceremony was solemnly held at Ba Đình Square in Hà Nội on Monday to celebrate the 79th National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2024).

Lao Ambassador to France Kham-Inh Khitchadeth and the embassy’s staff visited the Vietnamese Embassy in France on Saturday to offer congratulations while the Vietnamese Consulate General in Japan’s Osaka prefecture held a ceremony to mark the National Day.

The Vietnamese-funded Thống Nhất secondary school was inaugurated on August 31 in Khammouane and handed over to the association of Vietnamese in the Lao central province.

Ceremonies are held at Vietnamese Embassies worldwide to celebrate the National Day.

In his keynote speech, PM Chính highlighted Đà Nẵng's strategic advantages, including a robust transport network, favourable conditions for industrial development, a thriving maritime economy, and a burgeoning services and tourism sector.

PM Chính warned of the challenges that Đà Nẵng will be facing in action plans and said the city should move fast but with care.

The PM underlined the need to enhance decentralisation and delegation of authority in tandem with resource allocation, improve execution capacity, clearly define responsibilities of each individual and sector, and strengthen monitoring and inspection.

The testament, with its enduring and transcendent values, continues to inspire young Vietnamese today and serves as a source of motivation for future generations to study and follow the late President’s morality, thought, and lifestyle.

General Giang affirmed Việt Nam’s consistent policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, friendship, cooperation, development, and multilateralisation and diversification of foreign relations.

The 1945 August Revolution stands as the first significant victory of the Vietnamese people under the Party's leadership, a pivotal moment in the nation's history.
