Party General Secretary and President Trọng holds talks with Chinese Minister of Public Security

The Communist Party of Việt Nam, Vietnamese Government and the people attach great importance to fostering friendly relations with the Chinese Party, State and people, said Party General Secretary and President Nguyễn Phú Trọng during a meeting with Chinese Minister of Public Security Zhao Kezhi on Friday in Hà Nội.

HÀ NỘI — The Communist Party of Việt Nam, Vietnamese Government and the people attach great importance to fostering friendly relations with the Chinese Party, State and people, said Party General Secretary and President Nguyễn Phú Trọng during a meeting with Chinese Minister of Public Security Zhao Kezhi on Friday in Hà Nội.

Việt Nam is willing to work with China to maintain high-level exchanges, control disagreements, foster co-operation in all fields, and promote stability in bilateral relations, Trọng said.

The Chinese Minister of Public Security highly appreciated the outcomes of co-operation between the two countries in COVID-19 prevention and control in recent times.

He expressed his belief that the Vietnamese people, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Việt Nam, will continue to gain even more great achievements in national construction and development as well as successfully implement the goals set at the 13th National Party Congress.

Minister Kezhi said the two ministries of public security would continue to promote co-operation in crime prevention, contributing to deepening Việt Nam-China relations for the practical benefits of the two countries’ people and maintaining peace and stability in the region and the world.

Party General Secretary and President Trọng proposed the two ministries continue to foster collaboration in security and legal implementation and promote the special role of the police force. — VNS
