NA Chairman to pay official visit to Laos, attend AIPA-45

HÀ NỘI – Chairman of the National Assembly (NA) Trần Thanh Mẫn will lead a high-ranking NA delegation to pay an official visit to Laos and attend the 45th General Assembly of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA-45) from October 17-19, announced the NA’s Committee for External Relations.

They have been properly implementing their cooperation agreement, especially the compilation and publication of a book on the 50-year relationship between the two NAs that will help enhance people’s awareness of the special Việt Nam-Laos ties.

Vietnamese and Lao parliaments will closely coordinate with each other, continue to create a favourable legal framework for the two governments to enhance cooperation, and supervise the effective implementation of the sides’ collaboration agreements, including those made at the 45th meeting of the Việt Nam-Laos Inter-Governmental Committee.
