HÀ NỘI — Little models from Việt Nam wowed judges at the Luxury Brand Kids Model Awards 2018 held in South Korea.

Cao Hữu Nhật (5) and Trần Phạm Minh Anh (12) won in the photo category while Nguyễn Nhật Hạ Vi (7) was the first runner-up of the contest.

They competed with contestants from 20 in various challenges such as traditional costumes, Korean traditional costumes, cocktail dress and gowns.

Vietnamese representatives also had a chance to take part in a film project to promote Korean tourism and traditional culture.

The next stage will take place in Kuala Lumpur to prepare for the International Fashion Week held on November 21-25.

They returned to Việt Nam on Friday to attend a press conference held in Hà Nội to reveal the upcoming plans.

They studied catwalk at Sao Style Academy founded by Lê Trần Đắc Ngọc, owner of Đắc Ngọc Designer House. He’s also a founder of Việt Nam Junior International Fashion Week, held annually since 2016.

His latest designs will be presented at the Kuala Lumpur International Fashion Week.

“The jury board and audience were impressed by the spirit and talent of Vietnamese representatives,” he said.

“Despite the young age, they are professional and expressed a passion for fashion and catwalk. We also received the invitations to perform in Milan and London fashion weeks in December.”

Every child wants to be prince and princesses like those from fairy tales. Ngọc said he helps to make the dreams of his students come true.

Kim Hong-joon, director of the Luxury Brand Kids Model Awards, said the performance of Vietnamese contestants was impressive. He expected their talents will be developed when they grow up. — VNS
