HCMCITY – A photo exhibition featuring the career of 66-year-old actor Minh Vương, one of the region’s cải lương (reformed opera) stars, will open in HCM City next week.

The event will feature 100 photos capturing the performances of Vương and his colleagues on stage during his 50 years of singing.

“Through the photos, I hope audiences can see more of the hard work of our cải lương performers and pay more attention to preserve live theatre forever,” said Vương.

Vương will perform six extracts from popular plays that helped him become famous.

The event will open on July 1 in the city’s Youth Cultural House, 5 Phạm Ngọc Thạch Street, District 1. VNS
