HCM CITY – Huỳnh Tú Anh from Bình Dương Province was named the winner of The Face Vietnam 2023, the Vietnamese version of American modelling-themed reality TV series The Face.

In the finale in HCM City on Sunday night, Anh, 21, defeated three other finalists in challenges of runway modelling, and photo and video shoots.

Lê Thị Quỳnh Trang, CEO of Multimedia JSC and the show’s general director, commenting on Anh's final performance, said, “Tú Anh has many prominent features. She has an ideal height for a runway model, so the runway challenge is not a problem. She has all the requirements of a high-fashion model.”

During the show, the contestants were coached by chief mentors, including Vietnamese models Anh Thư and Vũ Thu Phương, and the duo of model Minh Triệu and Miss Việt Nam 2014 Kỳ Duyên. Tú Anh was a member of team Anh Thư.

She impressed audiences with a height of 1.78 metres and her improvement through weekly challenges of shoots, commercials, and runway shows. She won the runway modeling and commercial challenges in the third and eighth episodes.

She has also appeared in fashion shows and lookbooks of well-known Vietnamese designers such as Lê Thanh Hòa, Vũ Ngọc và Son, and Adrian Anh Tuấn. She performed in eight out of 17 shows at the Aquafina Việt Nam International Fashion Week 2023 in the city last month.

As the winner of the Face Việt Nam 2023, Anh will be sent to the world’s most prestigious fashion weeks in Milan, Paris, London, New York, and Tokyo.

She will also join this year’s runners-up Minh Toại, Phương Vy and Xuân Hạnh, and the audience favourite Tuấn Ngọc in Seoul Fashion Week. – VNS
