HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam has been officially confirmed as the host country of the Miss Grand International 2023 beauty pageant.
The announcement was published on the official Facebook page of the beauty pageant.
Earlier, in 2017, Việt Nam was also the host of the beauty contest which is the sixth biggest such show in the world.
The event next year is expected to feature stunning performances of beauties coming from all over the world.
Phạm Kim Dung, chairwoman of the Sen Vàng Entertainment Company – the company with the rights to organise the contest in Việt Nam – also confirmed that the contest will be organised in Việt Nam in 2023.
Dung, who is also the national director of the Miss Grand International pageant, said that she hopes by being the host country for the second time, “this will pave the way for other international beauty contests to be held in the country.”

The beauty pageant has received attention from the Vietnamese public after an impressive and convincing winning of Miss Grand International Nguyễn Thúc Thùy Tiên in 2021.
Beating off other beauties from 59 countries across the globe, the 23-year-old is the first-ever Vietnamese beauty queen to win the title.
Việt Nam first hosted the contest in 2017. At that time, Maria Jose Lora from Peru was crowned Miss Grand International 2017. The Vietnamese representative, first runner up Miss Vietnam 2014 Huyền My, was among the Top 10 finalists. — VNS
