HCM City Open University marks Environment Day

HCM CITY — The HCM City Open University has lined up a number of activities to mark World Environment Day, June 5, and the Action Month for Environment this month.

With the theme ‘Time for Nature’, the activities seek to strengthen communication and developing greenery.

There are many contests for its students and staff related to environmental protection in the campus and city.

Its students and staff will plant trees in the Cần Giờ Mangrove Forest and raise people's awareness of energy and water saving.

Boxes for collecting used batteries have been placed in the campus.

Films to improve awareness of environmental protection and bio-diversity will be shown to students, lecturers and staff. — VNS
