QUẢNG NINH — Sixty-eight different wild animals were released on Thursday on the islands in Bái Tử Long National Park in the northern province of Quảng Ninh’s Vân Đồn District.

The release was organised jointly by park authorities, Quảng Ninh Forest Management Department and Hà Nội Wild Animal Rescue Centre.

The animals released include 11 snakes, two forest cats and 55 monkeys.

These animals had either been returned voluntarily by people, or rescued after the police busted cases of animal trafficking. The animals were taken care of by the Hà Nội Wild Animal Rescue Centre until they were judged as fit to return to nature. — VNS
