HÀ NỘI — Sài Gòn Beer–Alcohol–Beverage Corporation (SABECO) has reinforced its position in Việt Nam’s beverage market after receiving a series of national and international brand awards, reflecting its strong brand value, sound business strategy and long-term commitment to sustainable growth.
On October 2, the brewer was named among the Top 10 Reputable Brands at Việt Nam’s Excellent Brand Awards 2025 organised by VnEconomy. SABECO also ranked fourth in Forbes Vietnam’s “Top 25 Leading Listed Brands” and was listed among the Top 5 Reputable Beverage Companies 2025 by VNReport.
The latest recognition marks the third time SABECO has appeared in Forbes Vietnam’s Top 25 Leading Listed Brands and the ninth consecutive year it has been named among the Top 10 Most Reputable Food and Beverage Companies, highlighting its consistent performance and leadership in a highly competitive market.
According to the organisers, the awards are based on transparent and rigorous evaluation processes. Việt Nam’s Excellent Brand Awards assess companies across multiple criteria, including business performance, brand reputation, corporate culture, social responsibility, innovation and international integration. Forbes Vietnam calculates brand value using both tangible and intangible assets, sector price-to-earnings ratios and audited financial data, while VNReport applies three key benchmarks: financial strength, media reputation and surveys of stakeholders.
SABECO’s continued presence in these rankings underscores the strength of its brand equity and its ability to sustain growth amid changing market conditions.
Alongside business performance, the company has placed sustainability at the centre of its development strategy. Since 2024, environmental, social and governance (ESG) indicators have been integrated into SABECO’s key performance metrics, while a Sustainability and Risk Management Committee has been established at the Board of Directors level. The brewer has also announced its Net Zero roadmap and publishes sustainability reports in line with the Global Reporting Initiative standards.
By the end of 2024, 64 per cent of SABECO’s breweries had installed solar power systems, helping to cut greenhouse gas emissions by 9.3 per cent and reduce water consumption per unit by 7.3 per cent. Renewable energy accounted for more than 40 per cent of total energy use, while over 64 per cent of waste was recycled or reused, reflecting tangible progress in the company’s ESG implementation.
SABECO currently operates 25 breweries and 11 subsidiaries, supported by a nationwide distribution network of more than 200 outlets. This ecosystem provides tens of thousands of direct and indirect jobs, while the company continues to rank among Việt Nam’s largest taxpayers, making a significant contribution to the State budget.
In 2025, SABECO marks 150 years of development with a series of community-focused activities being rolled out nationwide.
With steady growth, advancing sustainability initiatives and a long-standing heritage, SABECO continues to play a leading role in Việt Nam’s food and beverage sector, delivering long-term value to both consumers and investors. — VNS
