HÀ NỘI — Honda Vietnam on Tuesday started a campaign to recall, inspect, and replace high-pressure fuel pumps in vehicles from the company's CR-V line that were produced in 2023 and 2024.
The inspection aims to check its CR-V e:HEV RS vehicles for fuel leakage or fuel odours from the pump when the engine is running.
A total of 2,695 vehicles imported from Thailand, with production dates from August 24, 2023 to September 11, 2024, are included in the recall, according to the company.
Owners of affected vehicles will be notified by Honda Automobile Distributors through mail, email, and/or direct phone calls with detailed information about the campaign, based on the vehicle owner’s registered information in the company’s customer management system.
Customers who receive the notice are advised to take their vehicles to authorised Honda Automobile Dealers for inspection and replacement of parts if a fuel leak is detected.
The cost of the inspection and replacements will be covered by Honda Vietnam.
Inspections will begin on November 25, and will last for 30 minutes per vehicle. — VNS
