HCM CITY — Anh Kim Foods Production JSC, maker of Cây Thị porridge, is set to launch a charity fund this Friday to mark its 20th anniversary.
Speaking at a ceremony in HCM City on Saturday, Nguyễn Thị Thu, the company’s chairwoman and general director, said the company would donate VNĐ500 for every item it sells to the fund, named “Love Porridge Bowl.”
Thu said the company has always supported the Vừ A Dính Scholarship Fund, the Club for Beloved Hoàng Sa and Trường Sa, poor patients and families affected by natural disasters.
By establishing the fund, the company wants to offer more support to disadvantaged people across the country, she said.
This year, it has launched Cây Thị fresh rice porridge products and exported slow-cooked black chicken to the US market, she said.
Talking about future plans, she said it would focus on research to come up with more new products and expand its presence both at home and abroad.
Also at the event, the company received a certificate recognising Cây Thị as the oldest nutritious porridge brand in Việt Nam from the Hà Nội-based International Intellectual Property Institute. — VNS
