HCM CITY — Mobile World Investment Joint Stock Company (MWG) has announced the appointment of Đoàn Văn Hiểu Em, as the new CEO of the Mobile World Joint Stock company.
The latter company runs the two biggest retail chains, thegioididong.com and Điện máy Xanh.
Em’s predecessor as CEO, Trần Kinh Doanh, had the role of developing Bách Hoá Xanh into the country’s top retailer in the food and foodstuff segment.
Em joined MWG in March 2007 and has since worked in many positions.
He said on taking over he would make all efforts to increase MWG’s mobile phone and electronic products market share to 50 per cent.
“I target revenues from the two segments of US$8 billion before 2022.”
MWG is the biggest retailer in the country. It operates thegioididong.com, Điện máy Xanh, Trần Anh, BigPhone in Cambodia and vuivui.com. — VNS
