Vietnam Airlines opens Đà Nẵng – Osaka route

The national carrier Vietnam Airlines will officially open a new route between the central city of Đà Nẵng and Osaka, Japan from October 28.

HÀ NỘI — The national carrier Vietnam Airlines will officially open a new route between the central city of Đà Nẵng and Osaka, Japan from October 28.

The new route will include seven flights a week on the Airbus A321.

The flights will depart from Đà Nẵng at 00:20 and from Osaka at 09:30. The flight duration is about four and a half hours.

This is the 11th route by the carrier to Japan, after those linking major cities in Việt Nam including Hà Nội, HCM City and Đà Nẵng with Japan’s big cities such as Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya and Fukuoka.

The carrier is also launching a promotional programme from now until September 30. Passengers will have the chance to buy tickets on the Đà Nẵng - Osaka route from VNĐ5.89 million (US$294), with flight times from October 28, 2018 to December 31, 2018.

Vietnam Airlines is currently the largest airline with direct routes between Việt Nam and Japan, with an average of 70 flights per week. Since its first flight in 1994, the carrier has so far transported 11.3 million passengers, accounting for 65 per cent of the market. — VNS
