HCM CITY — Lotte Mart and over 80 HCM City-based producers and businesses discussed opportunities for tie-ups at a conference the Korean retailer held in HCM City on April 12.

Nguyễn Ngô Anh Tuấn, managing director of Lotte Mart in HCM City, apprised attendees about his supermarket’s private labels, opportunities for co-operation with it and its long-term co-operation policies and strategies.

Choice L, launched in mid-2016, is an exclusive brand of Lotte Mart in Việt Nam that has quickly won consumers’ trust, he said.

It is positioned as a high-quality brand in both the domestic and export markets, he said.

LOTTE Mart has developed more than 1,000 products under the label, including foodstuff, home appliances, fashion products, and electronics.

Last year, it exported nearly VNĐ2 billion (US$88,105) worth of Choice L foodstuff, consumer goods and household plastic products to Myanmar and Laos.

At international exhibitions such as the Vietnam Food Expo and Vietnam International Retail and Franchise Show, the brand has caught the eye of foreign partners and got positive feedback from consumers.

The supermarket hopes the conference would open up opportunities for both sides, he said. — VNS
