Isuzu Việt Nam recalls SUV Mu-X

HÀ NỘI — Isuzu Việt Nam is recalling 215 Mu-X sport utility vehicles (SUV) to fix faults related to the starter.

The starter is a device used to rotate an internal-combustion engine to initiate the engine’s operation under its own power.

All vehicles imported from Thailand by Isuzu Việt Nam were manufactured from June to November 2016.

According to reports, the faults may cause the engine to break down unexpectedly or experience an electrical leakage while running.

The recall campaign will end before June 30, 2018.

SUV Mu-X, equipped with a diesel-powered engine, was shipped to Việt Nam in July 2016. It’s seen as the key Isuzu model in the Vietnamese market, competing with the Toyota Fortuner. — VNS
