BÌNH DƯƠNG – Bel Vietnam, subsidiary of French cheese maker Bel group, inaugurated its second cheese plant in the southern province of Bình Dương on March 16.
Built at a cost of 12.9 million euro (US$13.8 million), the facility at the Sóng Thần 3 industrial park in Thủ Dầu Một City is capable of producing 10,000 tonnes of cheese products per year.
Bel Vietnam said it wanted to introduce nutritious dairy products to Vietnamese consumers, with a long-term strategy of becoming a supply centre for the entire Southeast Asian market.

Speaking at the factory’s inauguration ceremony, chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Trần Thanh Liêm said the event marked a milestone for the company in line with the local policy on investment attraction.
Bình Dương is committed to creating the best conditions possible for Bel Vietnam to operate effectively, Liêm pledged.
