ĐÀ NẴNG — Japan’s Linux Professional Institute (JPI) Evolable Asia company and Đà Nẵng’s Đông Á College have established an information technology (IT) human resource training programme.
This will run alongside an Open Source Software education programme.
The agreement, signed on Tuesday, is part of the college’s strategy to develop its Information Technology faculty in association with local and foreign software partners.
It’s also the first Open Source Software HR deal in the central region.
Following the agreement, JPI and Evolable Asia company will establish a Linux certificate recognition centre in Đà Nẵng, boosting Open Source Software education in the central and Central Highlands regions.
The central city has 55 foreign direct investment projects in the IT sector with a total investment of US$12 million.
Last year, the city’s IT and communication sector earned $58 million from software exports. — VNS
