HCM CITY — Sacombank has won four awards from the National Payment Corporation of Vietnam (NAPAS) for Bank with the Best POS Network, Bank with the Best Online Merchant Network, Dynamic Bank, and Outstanding Bank in Credit Card Transaction for 2022.
The awards, given at a ceremony in Hội An last week by NAPAS to honour outstanding member banks testified to Sacombank's unceasing efforts to improve the customer experience and promote card use.
In 2022 Sacombank completed implementation of a dual POS system according to VCCS (Vietnamese chip card standards).
The number of Sacombank POSs recorded on the NAPAS system exceeds 60,000, or more than 30 per cent of the total POSs that have generated transactions through it.
The total number of its transactions via POSs rose by nearly 42 per cent from 2021, and they were worth more than VNĐ36.2 trillion (US$1.46 billion).
In terms of online transactions via the NAPAS system, in 2022 Sacombank leads the industry with more than VNĐ2.1 trillion ($84.85 million), or nearly 63 per cent of NAPAS E-Commerce service’s transaction value.
Sacombank has meanwhile actively coordinated with NAPAS to carry out many projects to bring value to customers, including connection of payments using Thai QR code, deploying sponsored banking/payment intermediary services, accepting VCCS branded cards via the BCCard network in Korea, and piloting a project that allows cash withdrawal using QR codes.
Recently the two successfully issued the Sacombank Napas Combo Card that integrates payment and credit cards in a single chip, and Napas Easy Card credit cards.
The bank has promoted the use of credit cards for many years, targeting rural customers and workers in industrial zones.
