HÀ NỘI — Vietnam Post Corporation, a state-owned enterprise under the Ministry of Science and Technology, is accelerating its use of digital technology as it shifts from administration based on official documents and reports towards data-driven governance and operations on digital platforms.
Vietnam Post currently operates a network of more than 13,000 service points and employs nearly 40,000 staff nationwide. Alongside traditional postal services, it provides logistics, postal financial services, goods distribution, public administrative services and a range of digital platform-based services.
Since mid-2025, Vietnam Post has been carrying out organisational restructuring and operational reforms. Provincial and municipal post offices have transitioned to a new model that more clearly separates business and operational functions, consolidates governance capacity at the provincial level and strengthens the role of commune-level post offices.
The restructuring comes amid increasingly intense competition in the postal, delivery and logistics markets. Vietnam Post must simultaneously fulfil its public service obligations, maintain its extensive network and improve the quality, speed and efficiency of service delivery.
According to Nguyễn Trường Giang, Chairman of Vietnam Post’s Members’ Council, the reform process goes beyond organisational restructuring and also involves changes in governance methods.
Vietnam Post is stepping up the use of technology across its production and business operations, gradually moving from administration based primarily on official documents and reports to data-driven governance, and from manual processes to operations on digital platforms.
The corporation is also exploring and expanding into areas such as document digitalisation and new services that build on the capabilities of its nationwide network.

| Vietnam Post leaders launch three platforms: the Corporate Culture Platform, the Culture 365 Platform and the LIA Digital Knowledge Platform. |
Vietnam Post plans to put the VLP platform into operation in October 2026 to support governance and the organisation of production and business activities. The corporation expects the platform to improve data use, optimise processes and strengthen the monitoring and management of operations across its nationwide network.
Alongside organisational reform and technology adoption, Vietnam Post will also begin building a unified corporate culture across the corporation from October 2026.
According to the corporation’s leadership, the scale of its network, the breadth of its operations and the size of its workforce require common principles for co-ordination, task implementation and customer service. Building a unified corporate culture is therefore considered a key priority.
After more than a year of research, discussion and consultation, the Corporate Culture Steering Committee and Vietnam Post’s leadership identified five cultural values for the new period: Dedication, Discipline, Co-operation, Innovation and Effectiveness.
At a ceremony marking the 81st anniversary of the Postal Sector’s traditional day on August 12, Vietnam Post announced three platforms: the Corporate Culture Platform, the Culture 365 Platform and the LIA Digital Knowledge Platform.
The platforms were developed to provide documents, guidance and other resources to help staff understand and practise the corporation’s cultural values. They also serve as spaces for storing and sharing professional knowledge, practical experience and work-related content across the network.
According to Vietnam Post, placing cultural and knowledge resources on digital platforms is intended to give employees regular access to them while supporting training, experience-sharing and better co-ordination among units. — VNS
