NA Chairwoman embarks on Europe tour

National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyễn Thị Kim Ngân leaves for Europe this morning to attend the assembly meeting of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and pay an official visit to the Netherlands. She will travel in Europe until March 30^th.

HÀ NỘI — National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyễn Thị Kim Ngân leaves for Europe this morning to attend the assembly meeting of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and pay an official visit to the Netherlands. She will travel in Europe until March 30^th.

Ngân will first arrive in Switzerland to lead the Vietnamese delegation at the 138th Assembly of the IPU at the invitation of the union president Gabriela Cuevas Barron.

The second leg of her tour will be in the Netherlands; it will also be her first official visit to the country as the National Assembly chairwoman. Ngân’s visit, made at the invitation of the Netherlands House of Representatives Speaker Khadija Arib, comes on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of Viet Nam establishing diplomatic relations with the Netherlands. – VNS
