HÀ NỘI — Nguyễn Thị Thật holds the yellow and green jerseys after the first stage of the Bình Dương International Women’s Cycling Tournament ended yesterday.
The former Asian champion of Lộc Trời An Giang Group finished the three laps amounting to 66km around Bình Dương City first in a time of 1hr 47.44min to secure the overall lead.
Miho Yoshikawa of Elephant Fertiliser Bình Dương came second and Jutatip Maneephan of Thailand was third.
National team member Thật was also the best sprinter of the stage and grabbed the green jersey.
The second stage today runs from Thủ Dầu Một City of Bình Dương Province to Dầu Tiếng District and returns for 110km.
The 10th cycling tournament which is known as the Biwase Cup has drawn almost 200 athletes from 11 local and international teams. They will race across 10 stages and more than 1,000km. — VNS
