Nam wins on his birthday at Egyptian tennis event

HÀ NỘI — Lý Hoàng Nam came from behind to win the first main round of the M15 Sharm El Sheikh tennis tournament on Wednesday in Egypt.

Unseeded Nam defeated No 2 Evgenii Tiurnev 2-6, 6-3, 3-1 as the Russian asked to withdraw.

With his win Nam received one bonus point from the tournament to celebrate his 23rd birthday on Wednesday.

In the next round, he will meet Federico Iannaccone of Italy who beat Canadian Kelsey Stevenson 6-3, 6-1. — VNS
