HÀ NỘI — Nguyễn Văn Phương of Việt Nam failed to find his berth at the M15 Sharm El Sheikh tennis tournament’s main round in Egypt on Tuesday.

Phương was defeated 3-6, 6-4, 6-10 to qualifying round’s No 3 seed Issei Okamura of Japan.

Okamura advanced to the main round and will play his fellow countryman Ryota Tamuna, who is the tournament’s No 5 seed.

There is only Lý Hoàng Nam of Việt Nam left at the event. Nam will start his journey playing No 2 Evgenii Tiurnev of Russia today. — VNS
