HÀ NỘI — Vietnamese player Nguyễn Văn Phương got through to the third qualification round of the M15 Sharm El Sheikh tennis tournament in Egypt on Monday.

Phương beat No 9 seed Danil Sapasibo of Russia 6-1, 7-5.

He will next play No 3 seed Issei Okamura of Japan this afternoon, Hà Nội time.

His senior teammate Lý Hoàng Nam will also play his first match in the main round today.

He will face No 2 Evgenii Tiurnev of Russia. — VNS
