HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam took a bronze medal from the OCCB Cycle Speedway Southeast Asian Championship in Singapore on Saturday.

Việt Nam and reigning champions Philippines advanced to the final stage as the two best teams of Group 2, while Malaysia and Thailand came out of Group 1.

The final saw each team took turns to lead in the first laps, with the tight battle continuing through most of the race.

In the last lap, all teams let their strongest finishers go head-to-head against each other to sprint to the finish.

The Philippines proved their talent edging out all other to finish in a time of 19 minutes and 19.550 seconds. 

Malaysia came second and clocked a time of 19:19.580, while Việt Nam were in third with 19:20.483. — VNS
