Honda Racing Vietnam to race at Asia Road Racing Championship 2019

Three Vietnamese athletes will take part in the FIM Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC) 2019 which will begin with its first round on March 8-10 at the at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia.

HÀ NỘI — Three Vietnamese athletes will take part in the FIM Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC) 2019 which will begin with its first round on March 8-10 at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia.

It will be the first time that a team with 100 per cent members are Vietnamese taking part in the tournament after three years co-working with Yuzy of Malaysia under the name of Yuzy Honda Vietnam Racing Team.

The Honda Racing Vietnam crew will take part in two categories of 150cc and 250cc.

The national most experienced Cao Việt Nam is expected to secure higher position than last year when he ranked 24 out of 47 overall in the 250 class.

Young racer Nguyễn Vũ Thanh made impress performance last season before he got injured and sidelined. He and teammate Lê Khánh Lộc, who grabbed his highest position of 11 at fourth stage in 2018, will race in the 150 pool.

The 2019 season is set to make wave in the Asian road racing scene with the new 1000cc race class. The calendar also expands to a total of seven rounds from March 8 to December 1 in five different countries. — VNS
