HCM City bag four more golds at national swimming event

HCM City bagged four more gold medals in the fourth day of competition at the National Youth Swimming Championship in HCM City yesterday.

HÀ NỘI — HCM City bagged four more gold medals in the fourth day of competition at the National Youth Swimming Championship in HCM City yesterday.

The team has won a total of 28 golds, 22 silvers and 12 bronzes to top the medal tally. National Defence Sports Centre 5 are second with 22 golds, 17 silvers and 10 bronzes, while Long An are third with 15 golds, 14 silvers and 14 bronzes.

Trịnh Trương Vĩnh of HCM City took a gold medal in the boys 11 & under 100m backstroke category after clocking a time of 1:12.18. Vĩnh’s teammate, Phạm Hồng Gia Bảo and Nguyễn Phan Nhật Quang of Phú Nhuận District Sport Centre were the runners-up.

In the girls 18 and under category’s 100m backstroke, Nguyễn Diệp Phương Trâm of HCM City also seized a gold medal with a time of 1:05.92. Lê Thị Loan of National Defence Sports Centre 5 and Hoàng Thị Trang of Thanh Hóa got silver and bronze, respectively.

Earlier, Trâm also won gold in the 50m backstroke with a time of 30.84secs.

In the boys 18 and over 100m backstroke, Trần Duy Khôi also won HCM City a gold with a time of 55.55secs.
