HÀ NỘI — Vietnamese tennis player Lý Hoàng Nam has gone up three places in the ranking of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), which was released on Monday.
He now stands at No. 430 for the first time.
Nam’s performance was not up to the mark as he could not qualify beyond the first round of the men’s singles in the Việt Nam F3 Futures tennis tournament. Therefore, he could not collect more points. However, he fared better than other tennis players who dropped in their rankings.
Meanwhile, 17-year-old Nguyễn Văn Phương rose 98 steps and ranks No 1,332. Trịnh Linh Giang also rose 159 steps and ranks No 1,336. — VNS
