HÀ NỘI — Former striker of the national U22 and U23 teams, Nguyễn Hữu Khôi, signed a one-year contract with South Korean K3 League team Siheung City FC on Thursday.
“I have signed a contract with Siheung City. I will play for one year. If I play well, I will get an extension,” Khôi said.
The K3 League is an amateur football competition in South Korea. Created in 2007, it is considered a fourth-tier competition in South Korean football.
Siheung City finished second last season behind Jungnang Chorus Mustang FC.
“This will be a very meaningful and interesting trip. I will learn more and hone my skills before returning home,” Khôi said.
Khôi, a Thái Bình native who played for Đắk Lắk in the Naitonal First Division Football Tournament, will leave for South Korea next month.
Khôi was called to the national U22 and U23 teams under the guidance of coach Hoàng Văn Phúc and Toshiya Miura. — VNS
