HÀ NỘI — Coaches Trương Việt Hoàng and Lê Huỳnh Đức asked for the termination of their contracts with their respective clubs on Wednesday.

Hoàng wants to quit his position although his deal with V.League’s Hải Phòng FC is valid until the end of 2018.

Hoàng officially sent his resignation to the club’s managing board citing personal reasons and nominated his assistant Nguyễn Đức Cảnh to take charge of the team.

Hải Phòng FC President Trần Mạnh Hùng has not yet made his decision.

Hoàng and his players are, meanwhile, practicing for their weekend match against Hoàng Anh Gia Lai on home turf at Lạch Tray Stadium.

Hải Phòng are currently No. 6 in the ranking.

Hoàng came to Hải Phòng in 2014. Under his reign, the team won the National Cup trophy in 2014 and finished second at the V.League last year.

In another move, Lê Huỳnh Đức, coach of SHB Đà Nẵng, said he wants to leave SHB Đà Nẵng by the end of this season.

Former champions Đà Nẵng have prepared well and are in the race for the V.League title, but recent injuries to key players have somewhat dashed their hopes.

Đà Nẵng stay at No. 9 after 24 rounds, just two matches before the season comes to the end.

This year Đức and his players claimed a bronze medal at the National Cup.

During his 10 years with the team, Đức bagged two V.League titles in 2009 and 2012, one National Cup gold in 2009 and one Super Cup trophy in 2012.

He also led Đà Nẵng to the quarterfinals of the AFC Cup in 2010.
