HÀ NỘI — HCM City triumphed at the National Finswimming Championships which concluded at Phú Thọ Swimming Club in HCM City on Wednesday.
The team brought home 13 golds, five silvers and eight bronzes. Quảng Bình came second with five golds and seven silvers. The Military team finished third with four golds, nine silvers and three bronzes.
The four-day event saw 12 new records including three relay records.
Ngô Phúc Sang of HCM City set a new record in the men’s double-fin category with a time of 43.09secs, beating the old record of 43.33secs. While Trần Thị Trúc Diễm of Quảng Bình clocked a time of 3:22.15 in the women’s 400m immersion to break the old record of 3:22.56.
The event attracted nearly 140 finswimmers from 12 teams across the country. — VNS
