National Tennis Championship begins in HCM City

HCM CITY – The 2017 National Tennis Championship for the Vietravel Cup has begun at HCM City’s Phú Thọ Club.

It has attracted 120 players from 15 cities and provinces, who will play in the men’s and women’s singles and doubles, mixed doubles, and team events.

The matches are shown live on Thể Thao TV and Thể Thao Tin Tức HD channels.

Last year Becamex Bình Dương’s Lý Hoàng Nam, who hopes to crack the world’s top 400 this year, won the men’s singles title and the men’s doubles with Nguyễn Văn Phương.

Phan Thị Thanh Bình of Đà Nẵng was the winner in both women’s events, the doubles with Đỗ Đan Thi.

The mixed doubles was won by HCM City. – VNS
