Đồng Nai beat Hà Nội 3-2 in the final to take the trophy of the national football tournament for underprivileged children which wrapped up in Bình Định Province yesterday.

HÀ NỘI — Đồng Nai beat Hà Nội 3-2 in the final of the national football tournament for underprivileged children, which wrapped up in Bình Định Province yesterday.

In the match for third place, Phú Thọ beat Cà Mau in the penalty shoot-out to take the bronze medal.   

The winner took a prize of VNĐ30 million (US$1,300).

More than 100 children from social welfare centres in the locality participated in the event. 

The event served as a playground for disadvantaged and vulnerable children, helping them make friends and gain confidence. — VNS
