VN hold first ever field hockey coaching course

Việt Nam has held the first ever field hockey coaching course for all hockey coaches from Asian countries.

HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam held its first ever field hockey coaching course for all hockey coaches from Asian countries.

It was organised by the Asian Hockey Federation and conducted by International Hockey Federation (FIH) educator, SeungJin Yoo of South Korea at the Việt Nam Hockey Centre in Bến Lức District, Long An Province.

Six Vietnamese participants successfully completed this Level 1 Hockey Coaching course and are now qualified to coach hockey internationally.

James Chew, CEO of Việt Nam Hockey Federation, says, "This means Việt Nam now has a total of eight field hockey coaches, which are much needed to promote hockey in the sports-loving country of Việt Nam".

The course was initiated by CEO Tayyab Ikram of Asian Hockey Federation and Trần Văn Mạnh, chairman of Việt Nam Hockey Federation. — VNS
