VN women’s volleyball team names roster

Japanese coach Hidehiro Irisawa has called 16 national women’s volleyball players to prepare for August’s Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Malaysia.

HÀ NỘI — Japanese coach Hidehiro Irisawa has called 16 national women’s volleyball players to prepare for August’s Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Malaysia.

Trần Đức Phấn, deputy director of the National Sports Administration, approved the list.

Among the players five are from Vietinbank (including veterans Phạm Thị Kim Huệ and Lê Thanh Thúy), six from VTV Bình Điền Long An (including Nguyễn Thị Ngọc Hoa and Trần Thị Thanh Thúy), and two of LienVietPostBank.

Huệ, 34, has competed in the SEA Games six times and helped the team get six silver medals.

The team will start training on June 1. They aim to come home the victors. — VNS
