HÀ NỘI — Coach Hoàng Anh Tuấn announced yesterday which players are to compete in the FIFA U20 World Cup.

Tuấn announced the names of the 21 players and two reserve players.

In the defence line, Tuấn named seven players, including Đỗ Thanh Thịnh of SHB Đà Nẵng, Đoàn Văn Hậu and Đặng Văn Tới of Hà Nội, as well as Hồ Tấn Tài of Bình Định.

Among eight midfielders, there are two players from Hà Nội (Nguyễn Quang Hải, Hồ Minh Dĩ) and three from Hoàng Anh Gia Lai, including Đinh Thanh Bình, Trần Thanh Sơn and Lương Hoàng Nam.

In the attack line, Tuấn called up Nguyễn Tiến Linh of Becamex. Bình Dương, Hà Đức Chinh of SHB Đà Nẵng and Trần Thành of Huế.

Today, the team will move to HCM City to prepare for the friendly match with U20 Argentina at Thống Nhất Stadium on May 10.

According to Tuấn, the upcoming match will be Việt Nam’s final rehearsal for the FIFA U20 World Cup in South Korea, continuing in May and June 2017.

Argentina will also arrive in HCM City today.

At the World Cup, Argentina is in Group A with hosts South Korea, Guinea and England, while Việt Nam is in Group E with France, Honduras and New Zealand. — VNS
