Đà Nẵng — Quảng Ninh Coal booked a semi-final berth in the National Football Cup after drawing 2-2 with Long An in the quarter-final second leg game at Long An Stadium yesterday.
Quảng Ninh, who drew 1-1 with Long An in the first leg, qualified for the semi-final due to the away goal rule.
Tài Lộc and Tấn Tài took Long An to lead the game 2-0, but Quảng Ninh scored twice in the last two minutes to draw the game and secure a semi-final berth for the northern team.
On home turf at Tam Kỳ Stadium, QNK Quảng Nam crushed Hải Phòng 3-0 in the quarter-final to qualify for the semi-final with a 4-1 win on aggregated goals.
Hoàng Anh Gia Lai also booked a semis berth after beating Bình Dương 3-1. In the first leg game, Gia Lai won 5-3.
Hosts Hà Nội T&T cruised to a 3-1 win over Nam Định at Hà Nội’s Hàng Đẫy Stadium to sail to the semi-final. Hà Nội held a goaless draw in the first leg game. — VNS
