Hà Thanh Tâm of An Giang earned his first win at the Hạt Ngọc Trời Cycling Cup yesterday.
Tâm of An Giang completes the 96km stage from Sóc Trăng Province to Vị Thanh City, Hậu Giang Province, with a time of 2hr 16.23min.
Phan Hoàng Thái of Domesco Đồng Tháp and Nguyễn Minh Luận of Vĩnh Long came second and third, respectively.
Tournament leader Huỳnh Thanh Tùng of Military Zone 7 did not place in the top three of the ninth stage yesterday. But he remained on top in the overall ranking, with a total time of 17:59.12.
He also kept the green jersey for the best sprinter.
In the team category, Military Zone 7 took the lead, followed by An Giang and Domesco Đồng Tháp.
In the amateur event, Yoeun Phyuth of Campuchia secured the yellow jersey and his crew also topped the team class.
The 10th stage today will see cyclists racing 119km from Rạch Giá City, Kiên Giang Province to Châu Đốc City, An Giang Province. -- VNS
