HÀ NỘI – Đinh Quang Linh defended his men’s singles title on the last day of the National Table Tennis Championships at Hồ Xuân Hương Gymnasium in HCM City on May 15.

Veteran Linh from the Military team beat Hanoian Nguyễn Anh Tú 4-3 in the final.

On the women’s side, Mai Hoàng Mỹ Trang of Petrosetco HCM City easily defeated Hà Nội’s Nguyễn Thị Nga 4-0 to win the gold medal.

The annual tournament, which was co-organised by the Nhân Dân Newspaper, the National Sports Administration and the Việt Nam Table Tennis Federation, attracted the participation of 160 players from 18 delegations nationwide competing for seven sets of medals. – VNS
