Hà Nội T&T replaced Military on top of the National Table Tennis Championship’s men’s team event on Thursday in HCM City.
Hà Nội T&T came from behind to record a 3-1 win.
Nguyễn Trung Kiên of Hà Nội lost to Đinh Quang Linh 8-11, 12-10, 11-9, 8-11, 10-12.
Nguyễn Anh Tú leveled the result for the capital side when beating Lê Tiến Đạt 8-11, 11-9, 11-5, 10-12, 13-11.
Trần Tuấn Quỳnh pushed Hà Nội T&T ahead with a win 11-5, 11-8, 11-9 over Dương Văn Nam before Tú completed the comeback over Linh 7-11, 11-7, 11-13, 11-5, 11-5 in the fourth match.
Military 2 and Hải Dương 1 shared third place.
On the women’s side, Petrosetco HCM City successfully defended their title, beating Ministry of Public Security 3-1.
Mai Hoàng Mỹ Trang defeated Tường Giang (3-1) and Nguyễn Việt Linh 3-0.
Her teammate Thanh Thư trounced Hương Chi 3-0.
Linh collected the only win for Ministry of Public Security when hammering Thanh Trúc 3-0 in the second match.
Hà Nội and Military ranked third.
The tournament will continue with singles matches at the Hồ Xuân Hương Gymnasium until May 15. VNS
