HCM CITY — Việt Nam Pro Basketball League (VBA) and the Central Committee of the Việt Nam Students' Association (VSA) have teamed up to give young talents a shot at realising their basketball dreams in 2026.

Under their partnership, supported by Grab Việt Nam as exclusive mobility and food delivery partner, the two sides will open opportunities for students nationwide to practise basketball under the banner Inspiring The New Generation.

The collaboration aims to create a dynamic basketball ecosystem, giving students more chances to pursue their passion, break through limitations, and confidently shine.

“VSA values its partnership with Grab and VBA in expanding opportunities for students’ holistic development through sports,” said VSA Permanent Vice Chairman Lâm Tùng. “It will create a pathway from amateur tournaments to professional basketball while inspiring students to pursue their passions and abilities.”

A highlight of the initiative will be the Summer Student Basketball Camp scheduled for August. VSA will guide and coordinate local student associations and schools in participating, while also promoting the basketball movement and inspiring young people to take up the sport.

Students will enjoy a dedicated basketball camp this summer, helping them access to professional basketball league.

VBA will take charge of developing training programmes and managing events, providing students with a professional-oriented participation experience. Participants will benefit from guidance by VBA coaches and athletes and gain access to a professional basketball environment, where competitive spirit, discipline, and teamwork are integral to success.

“The partnership between VSA, Grab and VBA is of practical significance in expanding the playing field, strengthening connections and creating more development opportunities for young basketball talents, especially students," said VBA CEO Trần Chu Sa.

"We expect this collaboration to contribute to spreading a positive sporting spirit, nurturing passion, and building a more solid foundation for the long-term development of Vietnamese basketball from grassroots to professional levels.”

Meanwhile Grab will offer appropriate promotions and amenities to support participants’ transportation and carry out communications to encourage an active lifestyle and promote sportsmanship.

Grab will also back VBA’s 11th 5x5 season through its service ecosystem, providing convenient transportation solutions for upcoming events such as the VBA Scouting Tour, Rising Camp, Combine Challenges, Rookie Draft, and the official tournament.
