VĨNH PHÚC — The VTV LPBank International Marathon's second edition will be held in Vĩnh Phúc Province, promising a thrilling race after many famous runners signed up.
The tournament offers three distances of 6.8km, 10km and 21km with the first one organised for the first time on August 16 at the Flamingo Đại Lải Resort.
Entitled Rhythm through Time it is expected to be the largest running event in the province with thousands of local and international participants.
In the elite category, national team members Đỗ Quốc Luật, Sầm Văn Đời and Nguyễn Thị Thu Hà have confirmed their participation. International athletes are from six countries, including some from Europe.
They will check in a unique route winding along Đại Lải Lake, which is surrounded by contemporary architectural works and lush natural landscapes, providing a classy and inspiring experience.

The Organising Committee wanted to spread the spirit of enduring sports, at the same time pay tribute to the legacies of the past and inspire a dynamic future, connecting millions of Vietnamese people.
They also expected to build a series of large-scale, prestigious and quality running races for the community and marathon lovers.

The marathon is one of the activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day (September 2, 1945-2025), and the 55th anniversary of the VTV's first broadcast television programme (September 7, 1970-2025).
It will be aired live on VTV2 from 3pm to 6pm. VNS
